A Wondrous Diversity of Life
Ridge upon ridge of forest straddles the border between North Carolina and Tennessee in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. World renowned for its diversity of plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains, and the quality of its remnants of Southern Appalachian mountain culture
I have always felt the need to be creative. As a child I loved to sketch, draw, and paint. When I found the medium of photography a life long passion was born. I have spent nearly half a century trying to capture unique images of the world around us. Today I find myself fascinated with the beauty of nature and wildlife. I live in Tampa and being near the gulf coast has presented the opportunity to capture seascapes and flora and fauna near it's shores. I still manage to travel and I always take my camera wherever I go. I have captured many beautiful photographs over the years and I hope that you will spend some time browsing through my galleries and if you see something you like I hope you'll want to make your own.

Rich color, and the long exposure makes the view of the gravel under the water very interesting and clear. Nice job!

I love this. I am from Western NC. Reminds me of home!

Thank you Thomas and Spencer for your comments on my photography. The exposure was 2 sec Spencer in answer to your question. The long exposure allowed the misting effect of the water and brought out some of the green moss in the shadows.
Spencer McDonald
This is an awe inspiring shot. Great depth and composition. What was the length of the exposure?
Thomas Schoeller
Excellent composition, absolute wonderful lighting and long exposure. Very pleasing to the eye.
