As its common name implies, the blue morpho butterfly’s wings are bright blue, edged with black. The blue morpho is among the largest butterflies in the world, with wings spanning from five to eight inches. Their vivid, iridescent blue coloring is a result of the microscopic scales on the backs of their wings, which reflect light.
I have always felt the need to be creative. As a child I loved to sketch, draw, and paint. When I found the medium of photography a life long passion was born. I have spent nearly half a century trying to capture unique images of the world around us. Today I find myself fascinated with the beauty of nature and wildlife. I live in Tampa and being near the gulf coast has presented the opportunity to capture seascapes and flora and fauna near it's shores. I still manage to travel and I always take my camera wherever I go. I have captured many beautiful photographs over the years and I hope that you will spend some time browsing through my galleries and if you see something you like I hope you'll want to make your own.
